Tangerang, 16 October 2026 – PT Debindomulti Adhiswasti (Debindo), the official country representative of ITE Group in Indonesia, held the ITE Business Session at Trade Expo Indonesia 2026 at the Pre Function Stage, Hall 8, ICE BSD City, on Friday (16/10/2026). The session encouraged Indonesian exporters and business players to seize opportunities in the Russian and Eurasian markets, including by taking part in ITE Group’s three flagship exhibitions in Moscow, Russia: MosBuild, WorldFood Moscow, and MITT.
The session was opened by Bayu Nugroho, Director of Export Market Development and Information at the Directorate General of National Export Development, Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia. In his remarks, he said that Russia is a very large market and can be a driver of export activity for Indonesian products.
The session featured a line-up of speakers: Ardianto Mahdi Wibowo, Trade Attaché of the Republic of Indonesia in Moscow; Nabil Ramadhana, ITE Group Country Representative in Indonesia; Aleksei Kuskov, Deputy Trade Representative at the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in Indonesia; and Hengky Prasetiya, Account Manager at PT Tatalogam Lestari.
The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) has a population of 186 million and a gross domestic product (GDP) of around USD 3.02 trillion in 2025. Despite the region’s size, Indonesia’s exports to the EAEU reached only about USD 2.1 billion in 2025, up from around USD 1.89 billion in 2024.
Aleksei Kuskov, Deputy Trade Representative at the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in Indonesia, said that coffee, tea, chocolate, spices, furniture, spare parts, textiles, fishery products, as well as digital products and services, are products with strong potential and are in massive demand across the EAEU region. He also urged exporters to prepare English-language company profiles, to understand EAEU-standard regulations and technical requirements, and to strengthen their research on markets, pricing, and promotion in order to improve their export competitiveness in the EAEU region.
Nabil Ramadhana, ITE Group Country Representative in Indonesia, said that Indonesia’s exports to Russia reached around USD 1.88 billion in 2025, a growth of 42.7% from the previous year. Around 69%, or USD 1.31 billion, came from the food and beverage sector. This leaves ample room to expand the market with other products, such as coffee, tea, cocoa, coconut, seafood, and processed foods, which remain wide open. In addition, other sectors, including building materials and tourism, also recorded significant increases, which means there are still opportunities to export to the EAEU region, particularly Russia.
Companies can maximize these opportunities through the cooperation program between ITE Group and Debindo, which offers Indonesian participation in ITE Group’s events: MosBuild (30 March – 2 April 2027), MITT (13 – 15 April 2027), and WorldFood Moscow (14 – 17 September 2027), all held at Crocus Expo, Moscow, Russia. The program does not merely bring Indonesian companies to exhibit in Russia. It also provides market introduction webinars, an Indonesia pavilion, a hosted buyers program, and business meeting scheduling through the MosBuild Connect platform.
A concrete example was shared by Hengky Prasetiya, Account Manager at PT Tatalogam Lestari. The manufacturer of Bali Roof Metal Shingles took part in MosBuild 2026 and brought home 36 leads from visitors, 35 of which were interested in PT Tatalogam Lestari’s Bali Roof products, along with one meeting with a prospective customer at the event. PT Tatalogam Lestari also met the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Russian Federation and representatives of United Company RUSAL (UC RUSAL). The company said that support from the Trade Attaché, the Indonesian Embassy in Moscow, Indonesian students in Russia, and the organizer was very helpful, but that challenges remained, including the local language barrier, internet access, and cash payments.
