Jakarta – Malam penyerahan penghargaan kompetisi film pendek bertema “Pemenuhan Hak-Hak Penyandang Disabilitas Melalui Implementasi ASEAN Enabling Masterplan 2025 untuk Mewujudkan Indonesia Inklusif” digelar Kementerian Luar Negeri (Kemenlu) di Jakarta, Kamis (19/12/2019).
Kompetisi film pendek ini merupakan kerja sama Kemenlu bersama Perkumpulan Penyandang Disabilitas Indonesia (PPDI), Perwakilan Indonesia untuk ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR Indonesia), Akademi Televsi Indonesia (ATVI), Eagle Institute Indonesia, serta didukung oleh International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), dan Metro TV sebagai media partner.
Kompetisi film pendek ini merupakan upaya untuk membangun kesadaran publik, terutama generasi muda, akan pentingnya pengarusutamaan hak-hak penyandang disabilitas dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat.
Selain itu, penyelenggaraan kompetisi film pendek ini adalah bentuk komitmen Pemerintah Indonesia untuk terus menjaga komitmennya dalam menjamin pemenuhan hak-hak penyandang disabilitas, terutama dengan mengimplementasikan 76 butir aksi dalam ASEAN Enabling Masterplan 2025.
Indonesia sebagai negara anggota ASEAN terus berupaya untuk mempromosikan pemenuhan dan perlindungan hak-hak penyandang disabilitas, baik melalui perumusan kebijakan-kebijakan publik, maupun implementasi rencana aksi tingkat nasional dan regional.
